Homunculus keeps its use of cookies to a minimum. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The cookies below are the only ones we set.

Cookies we use

hm_session — session (strictly necessary). A sealed, HttpOnly cookie that keeps you signed in. It is set when you sign in and is not readable by browser scripts; your access token never leaves the server.
homunculus_theme — preference. Remembers whether you prefer the light or dark theme so the right one loads on your next visit. It contains only the value light or dark.
homunculus_accent — preference. Remembers your chosen accent color so it applies from the first paint. It contains only a color value like #a78bfa.
homunculus_start_view — preference. Remembers which screen you chose to start on (Stack, Library, or Search) so Homunculus can open there. It contains only one of those three values.

Managing cookies

Because these cookies are essential to signing in and to your display preferences, Homunculus does not show a consent banner for them. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will sign you out and reset your preferences.
