Terms of Service

Your account

You need an account to use most of Homunculus. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Break the law or infringe others’ rights while using Homunculus.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure.
• Upload malicious code or use the service to harm others.
• Scrape, resell, or misuse catalog data or other users’ information.

Your content

You retain ownership of the notes, tags, ratings, and other content you add. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate the service for you. You are responsible for the content you submit.

Catalog and third-party content

Homunculus references metadata about books, films, shows, music, games, and other media. That metadata and any associated rights belong to their respective owners; we make no ownership claim over third-party works.

Service changes and availability

Homunculus is offered on an evolving basis. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend or discontinue the service. We aim for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Termination

You may stop using Homunculus at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service and its users.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Photon Grove will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the service.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Homunculus after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
